2/5 木 CSIA I: day 1

i truly feel that english is very important, so I decided to write everything in english!( ̄▽ ̄)

Yesterday, I lost my phone at iizuna resort…
It’s a long story, so i’ll save that for another day.

Today was the first day of my CSIA Level 1 course. I’d like to share some thoughts and summarize the key points I learned.

Our teaching focuses on helping students ski better, rather than telling them what they did wrong.

08:15 assemble at the ryoo ski park !

08:40 meeting. our instructor is Canadian and speaks French. My classmates are from Portugal, Taichung, New Zealand and the U.S !

09:30 teaching at the top of Ryuoo Mountain. The view was incredibly beautiful, and the weather was perfect today!

  • The instructor showed us how to improve our skiing, starting from the basic position

11:50 lunch time ! lunch at Sora Terrace. very clear skies today, with a full view of the Kitashiga Highlands!

  • instructor shared a story about nearly losing his life while skiing in powder… that’s really dangerous!

12:20 continue skiing ~

  • the weather was so good that it didn’t snow at all, and it felt like sliding on ice…

14:30 course ended for today~ we focused on skiing today, and tomorrow we’ll shift our focus to teaching!

  • our homework is to outline the teaching modules for different kids of age groups.

thoughts

learned a lot about body position. i really felt that my skiing was more structured, smoother, and much more comfortable than before!

the instructor wanted to send us the documents, so they created a whatsapp group. however! I don’t have my phone with me !
after the course ended today,i met a classmate from Portugal. he’s 50 years old and a father of three. he kindly sent me the documents by email and also shared stories about his family. such a warm father !

i took a taxi to ryuoo ski park today and wanted to do the same as yesterday, but all the taxi companies were fully booked ! so i wrote an email to the Portugal father , asking for a ride yesterday.

He said ‘no problem’! I really appreciate him!

dinner

yesterday i ate The “white hair” beef rice bowl tasted great, but it was only available until yesterday. I was lucky to get it ∠( ᐛ 」∠)_

today i ate the “spicy tofu sukiyaki”! perfect meal !!
